The house

SWIM. REST. BREATHE.

From the tropical garden to the refreshing pool and the warm care of our staff,

Every detail at Huriya House is created with love and respect for Lamu’s heritage.

Outdoor patio with striped cushioned wooden sofas, a round wooden table, lush green plants, and a beige wall under a wooden pergola.

Huriya House is designed for slow, joyful living: a place where every corner invites you to unwind and connect. Huriya House is tucked away at the edge of Shela village: the perfect balance between connection and calm. You still feel part of the community, with sandy paths and friendly neighbors around you, yet it’s wonderfully peaceful.

Step out the door and you’re straight into the dunes, where a short walk brings you to the beach in just ten minutes. Or wander through the village: within five minutes you’ll reach the ocean too, passing local shops and daily life along the way. It’s a location that truly offers the best of both worlds: authentic village charm and easy access to Shela’s endless stretch of beach.

You’ll be cared for by our wonderful team: Simon, Hurisson, and Lizzie, who make sure the house feels like home.

From housekeeping and cleaning to laundry service, everything is taken care of with warmth and dedication.

Three sunbeds invite you to lounge across the garden, and an outdoor shower adds the perfect refreshing touch.
